No golden throne for the King of Kings, but a rugged cross of suffering. No crown or robes that we might see the splendor of HIS MAJESTY. No royal court, but a tomb alone till an angel rolled away the stone. The Lord, Christ, our lord we adore, He lives, He lives forevermore!

This was the cross that he had to bear over 2000 years ago. As we relax and enjoy ourselves on this holiday, let us not forget the pain that he beared JUST FOR US so that we need not go to hell.

Let us spend a moment of reflection and think, do we deserve to have his mercy? What have we done to deserve it? Have we instead misused this opportunity? Have we done things that are displeasing to HIM? Just what have we done to deserve HIS mercy?
