i rmb it so well that i can just do it again here la knn

first barometer is 71 cm Hg and 25 cm of air
second barometer is 45.5 cm Hg and 5 cm of air
because sin 30 = opposite / 91
1/2 = oppposite / 91
opposite = 45.5

so the difference in pressure is 25.5 cm Hg
then
25 cm x P1 = 5cm x P2 - (1)
P2-P1 = 25.5
P2 = 25.5 + P1 - (2)

25P1 = 5cm x (25.5 + P1)
25P1 = 127.5 cm + 5P1
20P1 = 127.5 cm
P1 = 6.375 cm

P2 = 6.375 + 25.5
P2 = 31.875

therefore atmospheric pressure
= 71 + 6.375 or 45.5 + 31.875
= 77.375 cm Hg
